Valmal Vieilles Vignes is, as the names suggests, made from an old (some pre-phylloxera) vine stock. A more traditional Cotes du Rhone VV veers to earth, plum and overripe black cherry. Drink now or hold for 3 to 4 years to allow the oak influence to submerge and cherry to shine.
